THE VORTEX (QILIN RECORDS)

Co-founder of music label - Qilin, Vortex is easily one of the best-loved drum & bass jocks and also a pioneer in Singapore’s growing drum n bass scene. Behind the decks, Vortex’s signature blend of hard hitting beats with liquid smooth bass lines always gets the crowd grooving. Already rinsing out the dance floor with rolling sounds, Vortex can also be caught exploring dubstep, broken beats, deep house, bossa nova, funk and hip-hop. A night out with Vortex is a musical journey to look forward to.

Now based in London, Vortex is on a mission to bring his gospel of bass to a wider audience and a bigger stage. Having made a resident DJ at the infamous THEM parties at the Rhythm Factory showcasing a seamlessly hybrid mix of dubstep, grime and breaks each and every time. On the D&B front, Vortex has also gone on to be featured on the legendary D&B Arena's D&BTV Live program alongside every single big name you can think of in the scene!

A popular figure among Djs and crate diggers around the world, The man from Rough Trade to DMC, Paul Cross's (aka Scuttler) musical career is an inspiration to many. As a Dj for more than 20 years, Paul Cross has notably appeared at Brixton Academy, Indigo2, Koko, Hammersmith Palais, Olympia, Islington Academy, Maribor - Slovenia and Courcheval-France.

ORACLE aka NATH (EYES DOWN)

Currently part of the Eyes Down collective (one of North London's top UK bass nights), Nathan Greenwood (aka. Oracle) has recently stepped into the world of producing. Having only started to concentrate on production in December 2011, these are very much early days for the London based producer but expect nothing but top quality selection from today's most forward thinking names as well as a sprinkling of his own productions.

EDEN (UDANCECN/RESIDENT)

Shanghai-born, Singapore-raised and London-based, this 23 year old has a track record nothing short of impressive. With a unique sound transcending the boundaries of genre, Eden’s fusion of dub and bass, techno, disco, broken beats and hip hop renders his wide acclaim. Having toured with the likes of Digital Love, performed at the notable Great Tangle Wood Festival in Beijing, Budweiser Rock Festival in Shanghai, etc. Eden also supported renowned acts internationally such as Mumdance, Joey Negro, Norman Jay, Caspa, Joker, Stereophonics and etc. Additionally, Eden showcased at Fashion Party Night @ Somerset 313, Parco Millennium Walk's Nation Pride, The Youth Olympics Games in Singapore, Shapeshifters Launch @ Zirca and the Singapore Art Museum Digital Nights Festival.

At present, Eden collaborates regularly with Stockholm based sister labels DBTY and 12-3 Records, he also runs the Bi-Weekly Friday Affairs Radio Sessions on UDance Radio (www.udancecn.com) with the ambition of bringing exposure to the best in broken beats, soul, hip-hop, dubstep, and experimental beats. Most recently in 2011, he has launched Rare.Funktions club nights in London – a night where diverse soundscapes converge with mind-blowing visuals in collaboration with a vast range of artists who’s sound span across the spectrum of music categories. The night’s immense popularity has resulted in expansion to Stockholm, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai.
