We don’t think our former podcasters The Qemists have had quite the recognition they deserve in the drum & bass scene. Hopefully that’s all going to change though, with the release of their debut album,
Join The Q.
A fierce album that blends rock guitars with D&B, plus tinges of dancehall, electro, grime and hip-hop, it’s a hell of a lot of fun, and to us sounds like the second album Pendulum should have made – instead of embracing the cheese. Collaborations on the album are inspired, ranging from Wiley and Beardyman to Faith No More’s Mike Patton and Albama 3’s Zoe Devlin Love, to D&B vocalists like the awesome Jenna G and Friction’s fave MC ID.
With fans including Zane Lowe, Chase & Status, Mampi Swift, and Pendulum (eyyy!)…oh and Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinosn…oh and us…there’s no doubting their quality. The album drops on February 2
nd on Ninja Tune – essential for all lovers of loud, rowdy D&B.
