New York techno dirtbag Abe Duque returns to the limelight this spring, dropping new album Don’t Be So Mean on Process Recordings on May 25th.

He’s had an interesting rise from obscurity – putting out his first releases on his own Abe Duque Records back in 2005 with no label and no promotion, just one-sided vinyls with a message etched into the back by Abe himself. The right people noticed, and before long he was the toast of the electro & techno scene, remixing the likes of Chemical Brothers and Miss Kittin.

Don’t Be So Mean is his 3rd studio album, mixing up acid, Latin, deep house, electronica, piano instrumentals and vocal tracks with influence from his past 2 years of worldwide touring. A full live club tour will support the release, taking in the likes of Tresor in Berling and Fabrik in Madrid.

A single, Tonight, will be out on April 17th. For now, you can check this video of him testing out material from the new album on tour.
