London’s electronic pop duo The Big Pink have put together the second in !K7’s Tapes series, following on from The Rapture’s excellent debut a few years back.

It’s been compiled by Milo Cordell, and features 19 tracks spanning Joker’s dubstep to Actress’ analogue minimalism and The xx’s delicate sounds, as well as some of the weird witch house stuff with tracks by bands with unpronounceable names made out of symbols.

"I think the songs are as good as anything out there” he says. “There are pop music melodies within that minimal production. And the best pop music for me has always been the stuff that the artist does on their own terms. Everything on the mix sounds like that. I think these guys are doing it for themselves and if people discover it then great."

It’s out on November 9th.
