Hailing from Weston Super Mare, Ben Nicky is the man behind emerging trance imprint Abstract Recordings and has a residency at Bristol club Syndicate. The trance young gun’s first release on Vandit Digital is a peak time trancer that starts with a bang and never looks back.
The surging bassline and fiery kick is joined by a soaring melody reminiscent of Akesson’s stunner Perfect Blue. The mid section follows a similar path, full of classical style strings, great melodies and the bassline always lurking close to the action, ready to kick things on.
Another relative newcomer Steve Allen offers a slightly different perspective with out losing the qualities of the original. His remix keeps the tempo up but tweaks the riffs with some of his own little melodic elements introduced as well as working on the bassline.
Danish ambient/classical dude Gorem Sorensen provides a great chillout version, with all beats discarded the mix begins with a subtle horn solo that gradually builds with the classical strings layered over it.
