Sky Motion - Thought Chain

The German-Polish duo behind Sky Motion are Frankfurt’s Dave Shifting and Poznan’s Robbie Seed, who make a solid debut on PvD’s sub-label Vandit Digital with a banging trancer. Starting off with a bleep to accompany the kick, a fizzing bassline adds some energy, before well-crafted melodies get the track moving upwards. The first break provides some atmospheric synths which take it down a couple of notches until the main riff kicks in.
 
The remix comes from new Polish talent Nivaya, Arkadiusz Kroma, who delivers the goods. The bleepy bits get jettisoned, the kick has a sharper edge and the bassline has more punch. He also weaves in a reworked melody earlier to build the mood, while the attention to detail is fine, with a lovely rolling effect dissipating the melody and bringing back in the beat.
