Loko - In Love EP

Two nice grooves here from the rising Argentinian star Loko, real name Gonzalo Gonzales. And what exactly was wrong with that name??
 
It’s very much in the vein of the percussive, subby end of rolling tech house music that’s been the vogue of the past 18 months – so nothing to set the world on fire, just solid, set-building grooves. In Love fits a yearning male vocal to snappy congas and metallic shuffling, underpinned by a simple undulating bass pattern. Cheeky, tribal-tinged fun.
 
Pasionara has more bounce to it, the bass a swinging constant rather than a 3-note scale, and plenty of swung, jacking percussive elements.
 
Decent enough and will have plenty of fans, but nothing too memorable. Keep an eye and an ear on him and see how he develops.
