Spencer - Trouble

Spencer announced his arrival last year in style with the scorching techno bomb Spark Plug, and follows up with the equally impressive tech trancer Trouble. Spencer is the latest addition to the exciting Irish talent pool that’s developing at Discover, joining the likes of Bryan Kearney and Gary Maguire.
 
Trouble is an energetic track which is based on a slamming kick and techy percussion before a driving bassline bounces into life. He feeds in an uncomplicated melody that floats underneath the surface, with raucous synths stabbing away, while the bass develops a layer of filth which stirs things further into life. There’s the hint of a vocal sample which adds some trippyness to the break, while he again deploys some neat little touches to switch phases effortlessly. This isn’t one of those tracks that’s gonna hog the headlines but will sit nicely in a lot of sets maintaining the intensity without raising the roof.
