Adam Foley - Fourteen Falls/Changes

Originally from Galway but now based in Manchester, trance and techno DJ Adam Foley is the latest in a long line of Irish talents to shine on the Discover roster, following in the footsteps of Greg Downey, Bryan Kearney, Gary Maguire and Spencer. His previous outing Trip Switch was released on Discover Dark, showing a darker more snarling, techno string to his bow. But this release is perfectly at home on the main Discover label, smooth melodic trance with plenty of energy.

Fourteen Falls is a beautiful uplifting trancer, with a twinkling little piano sequence, a very epic harmony, smooth melodic pads and lots of energy from the slamming bass. This is one of those catchy peak timers that’ll be perfect for summer.

On the flip, Changes has a bit of a harder sound, with a punchier kick and more aggressive synth. A melodic outburst gives it spray of warmth, and another stunning melodic hook pulls you in. This has a totally different sound to the A side, but again it’s a euphoric sound with loads of gusto. Bring on Mr Foley’s next installment!
