King of Grime and also
lawsuits, Wiley, comes back with some raw, dubby cuts on a welcome return to
Big Dada and in preparation for his forthcoming album, aptly titled '100% Publishing'. The ice-king has had a bumpy ride along the way over the last few
years – and after exercising his demons by virtually releasing his entire back
catalogue as a free RAR file, )which delighted and disheartened people in equal
measure) it's great to see him settling down again.
A minimalist base of
blipping, dropping acid bass samples leave room for Wiley’s vocal bars to be
effortlessly spit as he addresses all manner of humorous topics with a catchy
chorus and flow to this new crossover track. With an old school
hip-hop-meets-grime feel, it’s up to Sticky to strip it into basic rawness on
the remix, and the partnership of Toddla T and Roska (Todska) to bring the
tribally funky flavours throughout. Winner by miles though is Wiley’s original –
