Check this out for some old skool style house – skippy beats, a soft, mellow male vocal sample, classic synth stabs and a simple, cool bassline groove and not much else. It’s got soul, it’s got funk, and that stripped down approach to house music that seems to be returning to the fore at the moment. It recalls classic Junior Boys Own material – early Xpress2, Fire Island kind of stuff Sexy music for summer nights – not surprising considering Jon Silva’s a long-time resident of the White Isle.
