Huge remixes here for the summer house music dancefloor, with Simon Baker and Jamie Jones excelling themselves. The track kicks off with ominous, eerie pads tones, building up a loose, slow housey groove with phasing shakers, before suddenly in drops a huuuuuuuge droning bassline molestation. Chop up bits of the male and female vocal and shove them in rhythmically with some cute guitar licks, and you’ve got yourself a lovely groove. Things get trippy, messy and weird in the breakdown, with tape delays and echoes galore, meaning that when the groove drops back in its all the more satisfying and effective. Sexy as hell.
Roberto Rodriguez’s jaunty deep mix ain’t bad by any means, but it’s a bit like serving Gravadlax next to a tasty Fish Finger.
