Pioneer announce DJM-5000 mixer
Mmm. A new Pioneer DJ mixer always gets us a bit moist.
The new DJM-5000 is built for use with big bad sound systems, offering 96KHZ/24-bit sound quality – giving studio quality digital sound with minimal sound deterioration.
Aside from this it has a built-in sound card – meaning there’s no need to plug an external sound card in between laptops and the mixer – with 3 USB inputs, mic effects (Reverb, Echo+ Reverb, Octaver and Pitch) and a revolutionary new talkover function which cuts the midrange frequencies so that speech can be heard clearly without volume levels dropping. There’s also a Sound Maximizer which boosts the dynamics and clarity via two rotary knobs, allowing fine-tuning of the EQ to suit the venue, and fully assignable USB-MIDI controlling with 61 knobs and buttons, allowing it to be used as a fully-fledged MIDI controller.
It will be released in Europe in September, at the RRP of €899 + VAT.
