Soundcrash presents Bonobo Live at Troxy this December

Bonobo is not one to disappoint and December 11th  is certainly no exception. Having consistently achieved a silky-soft balance between electronica and jazz-fused ambience - his melancholy but uplifting debut album ‘Animal Magic’ being a perfect example - and with the grace of his production finesse, the praise that he has gained over the years is no surprise.

As we are still luxuriating in the magnificence of his latest album Black Sands we welcome Si Green and his band to Shoreditch’s most picture-perfect venues, The Troxy, to deliver a sizable slice of Bonobo action. Now residing permanently in the United States, our chances to catch them live are few and far between; any true aficionado will know that when Simon and the band are in town, there’s certainly no messing around.

Set amidst the Art-Deco interior, we can expect an evening of sultry strings, powerful percussion and sugar-sweet, dulcet tones. Londoner Jono McLeery, who is the newest recruit to the Ninja Tune gang, completed and produced his debut album ‘Darkest Light’ independently back in 2008 and his emerging musical venture has taken a similar shape to that of Bonobo. We witness Jono as he provides a perfectly complementary support for one of Ninja Tune’s most highly acclaimed veterans.

Tickets are going like hot cakes so grab yours ASAP.
